Our project «Let’s bike it!» is going to be the biggest Russian promotional event in this area, which goal is popularization of cycle culture in our country.

Our main partner is the «Youth Ecological Association» — independent social organization. Also we already have support from several universities, Union of Russian students and media, like LiveJournal.com — the most popular blog hosting in Russia and tourbina.ru — one of the biggest sites for travelers.

Our project includes 3 parts:

1. European cycle trip from St. Petersburg to Lisbon (since the end of July till the end of September 2010). We are going to cross Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain and Portugal. Our purpose is not only cycling, but also collection of photo– video– and journalistic materials about culture and cycle system in European countries, conversation with people, who promote ideas of ecological and health lifestyle.
2. «Russian dream on wheels». During this summer the command of the project is going to organize several actions and flash mobs with involvement of thousands citizens in the whole territory of Russia. We want to demonstrate that bicycle in Russia can be as useful and comfort vehicle as in Europe.
3. And, finally, the biggest part, is going to start in September. With Russian universities we are planning to invite architects and specialists of urban traffic organization for holding public lections in Moscow and Saint Petersburg. As the result of common work we will suggest project of infrastructure for our cities.

All these beings have its main goal — reviving of Russian social life and drawing attention of thousand people to ecological problems in our country and especially cities, where the main cause of bad environment are cars.
